This model can be applied in other places to solve environmental problem and also the community empowerment and to increase community economy. Other than the installation built by Bakrie University, the community already had BSF Installation that cultivated in private, as according to the previous result of research there are still many problems in cultivation that have not been solved for example the community complains about the non-optimum of larvae growth, the dead larvae, not knowing how to control the pest such as ants and rats. How to dry and pack the product properly and also many other problems. That is why through funding program the research of Campus freedom Learning Policy and community service using research result basis and prototype. Private University in collaboration with Bakrie University Directorate General Higher Education Research and Technology, we have done Community Service from the research result with the title of Larvae Black Soldier Fly Cultivation Training to support Zero Waste and increase the community empowerment. The goal of Training is to increase Technical Capacity, Social and Economy in Larvae BSF Cultivation.
Next plan will be capacity building training in Lombok especially for the Head of villages that have high potential to develop BSF Cultivation in their own villages. The main problem in Midang village is the garbage problem, there were many efforts have been done to approach this problem such as by burning the garbage with unclear problem solving, but more than that what I really want is to make the garbage into potential material and it can be a blessed.
